History: I thought of the American Civil War, because I think it needs more recognition (yes, there is more to American history than the Revolution .) I was intrigued to find that only two countries supported the Union - Switzerland and the Russian Empire. The Empire sent their Imperial Army to patrol the east and west coasts of the US and had standing orders to attack the Confederacy in case England was to swear allegiance with the South . It must have been comforting for the United States to have such a strong presence in a dark and lonely time . They were great friends.

Я була здивована, коли виявила, що тільки дві країни підтримали "Північ" - це були Швейцарія і Російська Імперія. Росія посилала свій флот для патрулювання Східного і Західного узбережжя США і в разі нападу Англії, адже за чутками вона неофіційно підтримувала "Південь", застосувати силу. Повинно бути для США це було прекрасно мати таку сильну підтримку в такий важкий час. Вони були чудовими друзями.
